Wolfratshausen – WEBER Schraubautomaten GmbH, which was founded as electrical mechanical workshops in 1956, is celebrating its 60-year company anniversary this year. Reason enough for the owner family and management to celebrate this day of the year with three special events.
During now completed trade show Automatica in Munich, WEBER invited business partners, companions and friends of the company to the official birthday celebration in Wappenhalle on the former airport grounds of Munich-Riem – including the first mayor of the city of Wolfratshausen, Klaus Helinglechner. More than 300 guests were invited. An evening of memories of the difficult founding years, the rapid rise to market leadership in the field of automatic screwdriving and connection technology; however, primarily a joint view to the tasks ahead in the future to further position WEBER as a leading global company. With 350 employees worldwide, 260 of whom work at the Wolfratshausen site, WEBER has the requisite resources to be able to do justice to the increasing need for automation technology in a wide variety of fields.
Three events for the anniversary
A second high point in the event calendar of WEBER followed the ceremony in Munich on June 23. WEBER opened its factory doors to, as CEO Karl Bujnowski says – ”…to be able to experience the company more closely than ever before”.
More than 80 interested parties were greeted at Hans-Urmiller-Ring. They were treated to specialist lectures, a walk-through all the production and management areas of the company and then a joint Bavarian snack with musical accompaniment from the band “Dreisam Live”.
In July, WEBER will close the round of celebrations with a large summer party for all its employees.
The workforce, management and owners of WEBER Schraubautomaten GmbH can be proud of what they have reached, notes Bujnowski. “The tasks will not become any easier – the internationalization of the economy has piqued the interest of our competitors. However, I am sure that we can match the success stories of the last six decades. The order books with orders from the wood industry, the electro-technical, medical-technical, home device technical and telecommunications technical industries through to the machine engineering, the aviation industry and the automobile production industry are well filled. Thus, we can look to the future with great optimism. We are not resting on our laurels with regard to our achievements, but rather investing further in new technology and our site, to which we are committed”.
